Fireworks, Football and Fight Songs: Wabash Homecoming 2026

Little Giants from near and far returned to campus for an action-packed Wabash Homecoming weekend.

The Sigma Chis were crowned 2026 Chapel Sing champions.Festivities began Thursday with Chapel Sing, one of Wabash’s longest-standing traditions. Students in the Class of 2030 tested their memory and nerve against “Old Wabash,” the nation’s longest fight song, in pursuit of the “W.” Sigma Chi came out on top, ahead of defending champs Lambda Chi Alpha.

The National Association of Wabash Men (NAWM) Board of Directors convened for their annual homecoming week meeting on campus to plan for the upcoming year and visit students.

Friday evening turned the spotlight to athletics, as nine new inductees joined the Athletics Hall of Fame during a reception and ceremony at Chadwick Court. 

From there, the celebration moved outdoors, where country artist Tege Holt performed a free concert on the College mall, followed by fireworks over Pioneer Chapel.

The annual Alumni Chapel serves as the general meeting of the National Association of Wabash Men and took place Saturday morning. Held in the spirit of Barney Hollet ’36, the event honors Wabash men and women for their contributions to the College and their communities.

Many young fans snapped photos with Wally Wabash at the Homecoming Luncheon.

The celebration continued Saturday with tailgates at Mud Hollow and the tailgate-inspired Homecoming Luncheon at Chadwick Court, where alumni, families, and friends fueled up for a packed afternoon of sport.

Little Giant fans enjoying the homecoming matchup against The College of Wooster Scots.Football hailed victorious over The College of Wooster with a 34-7 North Coast Athletic Conference win at Little Giant Stadium, rushing for a season-high 296 yards.

Saturday also served as Wabash Soccer’s Senior Recognition Day. The team celebrated by scoring five first-half goals on the way to a 6-1 victory over Principia at Fischer Field.

The Glee Club closed out Saturday with their annual homecoming concert in Salter Hall in the evening.
